BA0C7189Helping others through therapy is a passion of mine. Through the years, I have seen first hand the power of therapy for the person that is ready and willing to trust the process.  Therapy is a powerful process.

Earning my Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Psychology from Mississippi University for Women was the first step toward this awesome career. Shortly after, I earned my Master’s of Science degree in Counseling/Psychology from the University of West Alabama.

Therapy is offered for adults and adolescents, couples, and families.  I have over 14 years of experience in the field of social services.  My career began in Community Mental Health working with seriously mentally ill individuals.  After that, I spent several years in the field of Substance Abuse.  My most recent experience is in the field of corrections where I work with a variety of diagnoses from depression to personality disorders.  A few years ago, I completed specialized training through the Department of Deployment Psychology to work with veterans and active duty military personnel.

I am a certified Prepare-Enrich facilitator that is able to work with married and premarital couples.  I have also completed Levels 1, 2, and 3 of the Gottman Method for couples.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Nationally Certified Counselor.  I am also certified as an Approved Clinical Supervisor to offer clinical supervision to counselors seeking licensure. My most recent certification is that of a Certified Clinical Mental Health Counselor. I take pride in the work that I do and am honored when clients choose me to help them work through their life’s problems.
