Many clients meet with me once a week for several months. Then we may meet more or less often after that, as together we progress towards achieving their goals.
I am trained in numerous therapeutic approaches. My primary approach is exploring both emotional and cognitive barriers to clients' goals and satisfaction with life. I generally begin this process by discussing clients' relationships with primary caregivers during their upbringing, as well as their current relationships with significant individuals in their lives. During the initial two to three sessions, I work with clients in devising therapy goals. These goals help guide our future therapeutic focus.
